To describe the activities of this site during Ramadan as 'The Month of Sheikh Hamza Yusuf' would not necessarily be totally wide of the mark. We began this month by publishing the following comment of this famously influential non-Ahmadi Muslim scholar and leader:
We remarked that although Mr. Yusuf had correctly identified that modern Muslim scholarship basis many of it's most cogent arguments on the work of of Ahmadi Muslims, he had wrongly identified Maulvi Muhammad Ali Sahib as the source of these arguments, when in fact the true source of these divinely inspired arguments were the writings of Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. Therefore, we embarked upon a journey in which we began at the very beginning of Hadhrat Mirza Sahib's writings and went through them chronologically one by one.
First, we looked at the unique and exceptional defence of Islam he presented in Baraheen-e-Ahmadiyya at the very outset of his career. Then we examined a number of books in which he refuted the false dogmas of Hinduism. Then we looked at three books which were written to announce his claim to Messiahship, culminating in Izala-e-Auham, which we were proud to publish the first abridged English translation of. Even a cursory glance through this abridged translation of the comprehensive masterpiece would be enough to convince any clear headed reader that the non-Ahmadi belief that Jesus physically ascended to heaven, remains alive and will one day return is totally false according to The Holy Qu'ran and ahadith. Following these three books in which Hadhrat Sahib made his claim, we have gone through a number of books in which he has debated with the top non-Ahmadi Muslim scholars of his age and once again the divine support and signs which highlight and underline the truth of his claims. Now, on the final day of Ramadan, we have reached our finale.
And it truly is a climax of epic and mind-blowing proportions.
This book, published as long ago as 1892 and titled Eik Esai Kay Teen Sawal or Un Kay Jawabat,or A Christians Three Questions and There Answers, initially sets out to refute three objections raised against Islam by a Christian man named Abdullah James. By the end of the short booklet, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad has not only refuted the three allegations but has achieved so much more. He demonstrates his total mastery of the Arabic language, underscores his own in-depth understanding of The Holy Qu'ran and still has enough time left over to highlight his encyclopedic knowledge of The Holy Bible and other religious texts.
In fact, the book doesn't just refute Christian objections against Islam, it emphatically demolishes Christian dogma from start to finish, from their own text- The Holy Bible! At the end, there is no doubt left in the mind of any reader about the total and utter superiority of Islam, The Holy Prophet s.a.w and The Holy Qu'ran over Christianity and it's sources. I have had the rather dubious pleasure over the last few years of sampling some of the videos of this era's most famous non-Ahmadi Muslim scholars who refuted Christian dogma, including Zakir Naik and Ahmad Deedat. As Mr. Yusuf alluded to in a moment of honesty, their entire scholarship is based on the foundation of this incredible, original book by Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, although they don't bother crediting him.
The original Urdu as well as the full English translation of this short booklet are available free to read online at alislam.org, however it may not be totally amiss for us to present a couple of samples to our readers here:
Anti-Ahmadiyya sites often present passages such as the one above and claim that Hadhrat Mirza Sahib insulted Jesus. What they always fail to mention is that this paragraph was only one point out of many in which he refuted a Christians allegation that The Holy Prophet s.a.w. doubted his own prophethood as he himself was, God forbid, a fraud. Furthermore, they always fail to present the very next paragraph within that refutation:
Again, we have no intention of presenting many long and detailed passages from the book, but there are one or two more which are very noteworthy. One claim that non-Ahmadi Muslims make is that when Jesus returns to earth he will do so by flying down from the sky and when Sky News and CNN helicopters beam these images of this miracle around the world the whole of mankind will accept Islam. They fail to understand even the most basic concepts of religion, which have been highlighted in the paragraph below, although it is worth remembering that the paragraph was not actually written about the ridiculous belief of Jesus' physical return, but just about general religion:
Epilogue
We don't much care for dwelling too long on the ignorance and deceit of anti-Ahmadiyya commentators, but it is Eid tomorrow so we'll give one more example as a present to our anti-Ahmadiyya friends. Earlier in this series, we discussed Hadhrat Mirza Sahib's book Surmah-e-Chashme Aryah in which we refuted the baseless allegation that Hadhrat Mirza Sahib did not believe in miracles by pointing out that he had explicitly and in detail discussed and accepted the Holy Prophet s.a.w's miracle of splitting the moon within that book. The same anti-Ahmadiyya commentator who has regularly claimed on this site to be the single most knowledgeable researcher of Islam Ahmadiyya in human history claimed beneath that article that following Hadhrat Mirza Sahib's claim to messiahship in 1891 he had changed his mind and had rejected the splitting of the moon and, 'Mirza Sahib never commented on the splitting of the moon after 1891'. Here's what Hadhrat Mirza Sahib wrote about the splitting of the moon inEik Esai Kay Teen Sawal aur Un Kay Jawabat, which was written in 1892:
The full English translation fo Eik Esai Kay Teen Sawal Aur Un Kay Jawabat has been available on Islam Ahmadiyya's official site, alislam.org, to read for free online for around five years now. Whether the commentator mentioned above was lying about being the greatest researcher of all time, or was lying about the fact Hadhrat Mirza Sahib never mentioned the splitting of the moon after 1891, or was lying about Hadhrat Mirza Sahib changing his mind, or was lying about all three, we will leave to others to judge.
